 Fillmore Designs is a Bay Area–based studio specializing in custom commercial seating and modern upholstery. We partner with forward-thinking designers, architects, and developers to create furniture that is visually striking, structurally sound, and purpose-built for high-traffic environments.

Every piece we build begins with a conversation — a vision, a sketch, a spatial challenge — and transforms into crafted furniture that elevates the entire project. Think modern lines, thoughtful proportions, and materials that look as good as they perform.

 Fillmore Designs was built on a foundation of craftsmanship, entrepreneurship, and bold design thinking. Our origins date back to 2006, when we opened our first workshop in Martinez, CA. Relocating to San Francisco in 2012 marked a defining shift: from retail furnishings to fully custom, designer-driven commercial work.

This evolution allowed us to focus on what we do best — solving design problems through furniture and delivering a level of quality that stands the test of time. By 2015, we expanded into San Rafael and Redwood City, continuing to grow as a trusted resource for custom seating and commercial fabrication.

In 2023, we transitioned exclusively to commercial projects, taking on larger-scale collaborations and providing tailored solutions for hospitality, corporate, retail, and multi-use spaces. 

  Fillmore Designs is rooted in decades of industry experience. Derek Nazzal, the founder, grew up around furniture and fabrication, with family roots in a successful San Francisco retail and wholesale operation dating back to the 1980s. That legacy — craftsmanship, quality materials, and customer-first service — defines everything we build today.
